The following registers for the parish of Falfield (P142) are now held at the Gloucestershire Archives Office, Clarence Row, Alvin Street, Gloucester, GL1 3DW, Tel; 01452 425295. website; www.gloucestershire.gov.uk/archives

Baptisms:   1813-2001     Marriages:     1864-1992    Burials: 1860-1990

This includes:

P142 IN 1/3 Baptisms 1813-1877

P142 IN 1/9 Baptisms 1877-2001

P142 IN 1/7 Burials 1860-1990

P142 IN 1/8 Marriages 1864-1992

We do advise researchers looking prior to 1863 to also check the Thornbury registers as although the chapel in Falfield kept its own registers many Falfield residents may have used the main church in Thornbury.

This web site contains a summary of baptisms recorded from 7th October 1860 to 5th September 2010 and burials from around the same period which was initially prepared for the 150th anniversary of St George;s Church. However since then further information has been added to the Burials section and details of Marriages and Bans of Marriage have been added.
